In the early hours of November 16, 2023, at around 6:00 AM, the US Marshals Task Force, in collaboration with the Dallas Police Department, carried out the execution of a Capital Murder arrest warrant in the 9900 block of Adleta Boulevard.
In the course of the operation, gunfire erupted between the suspect and law enforcement officers. A member of the Dallas Police Task Force sustained a gunshot wound to the leg, while the suspect was also shot.
Both the injured officer and the suspect were promptly transported to local hospitals for medical attention. The officer is reported to be in stable condition, whereas the suspect is in critical condition.
This remains an ongoing investigation that will be documented under case number 203255-2023.
