Suspect Charged with Murder Following Fatal Shooting in Wolf Creek Area
Dallas Police responded to a shooting incident on March 14, 2024, in the 400 block of Bluewood Drive in the Wolf Creek area. Upon arrival, officers discovered Timothy Gantt, 56, suffering from gunshot wounds. Gantt was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition.
On March 18, 2024, authorities were informed that Gantt succumbed to his injuries. Consequently, the case was transferred to the Homicide Unit, where it is now under investigation as a homicide.
Through further inquiry, Benjamin Edwards, 59, was identified as the suspect. Edwards was already incarcerated in the Dallas County Jail for an unrelated charge. He has since been charged with Murder in connection with Gantt's death.
