Fatal Train Accident Claims Life of Woman in Haltom City Tracks

Early this Sunday morning, Haltom City Police officers responded to a distressing incident near Haltom Road and Mack Road. Dispatched around 6:30 A.M., officers discovered the body of an adult female who had been fatally struck by a passenger train.

The railroad tracks were shut down until approximately 10:00 A.M. to facilitate investigation. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office attended the scene, withholding identity details pending proper procedures. Presently, there is no indication of foul play in this tragic event.

UPDATE:  The deceased woman has been identified as 65-year-old Joanna Jean Longazel and the Tarrant County Medical Examiner has ruled the death as a suicide.
