Elderly Woman Killed in Rollover Crash on I-35W in Burleson

Just before 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 17th, Burleson Fire/EMS and Police were dispatched to a major accident along southbound Interstate 35W, a mile south of Hidden Creek Parkway. Preliminary information indicates a woman was driving on the highway and involved in a rollover crash. She was ejected and struck by a vehicle. Burleson paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as 75-year-old Clara Sue Rolando.

All northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 35W were closed for most of the overnight hours while Burleson police investigated the crash. It remains under investigation.
