Fatal Shooting in Old East Dallas Leaves One Dead

On Saturday, July 20, 2024, at approximately 9:55 PM, Dallas police responded to a shooting call in the 1000 block of Grigsby Avenue in Old East Dallas. Upon arrival, officers found 31-year-old Brione Jacquil Spencer shot and lying on the ground. Dallas Fire Rescue transported Spencer to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing and will be documented under case number 111458-2024.
