Two Arrested in Cedar Crest Area Fatal Shooting of Woman

On July 22, 2024, at approximately 1:05 AM, Dallas police responded to a shooting call in the 2000 block of Lanark Avenue in Cedar Crest. Upon arrival, officers found a female victim who had been shot. Dallas Fire Rescue also responded, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The preliminary investigation identified the suspects as 26-year-old Keiona Hargis and 21-year-old Deiontay Horn. Both have been arrested and charged with murder.

This is an ongoing investigation, documented under case number 112034-2024. The identification of the victim is pending family notifications.
