Man Fatally Stabbed on S. Cesar Chavez Blvd; 71-Year-Old Suspect Charged with Murder
On September 11, 2024, at approximately 12:20 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a stabbing call in the 2400 block of S. Cesar Chavez Boulevard in the Cedars area. Preliminary investigations determined that 71-year-old Harold Anderson stabbed a man at the location. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Anderson was arrested and charged with murder. His bond was set at $500,000. In addition to the murder charge, two additional charges were filed against Anderson for failing to register as a sex offender in connection with a previous conviction.
The investigation is ongoing and is documented under case number 139344-2024. The Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office will assist in identifying the victim.
