44-Year-Old Man Fatally Shot in South Dallas; Police Investigating

On October 20, 2024, around 11:40 a.m., Dallas police responded to a shooting in the 3100 block of Metropolitan Ave in South Dallas. Upon arrival, officers found 44-year-old William Howard Davis lying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire-Rescue transported Davis to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
