On October 28, 2024, Dallas Police Officer Austin Garza, badge #12400, was arrested for Criminal Mischief, classified as a Misdemeanor A, under a warrant issued by the Glenn Heights Police Department. Officer Garza, who was off-duty at the time of the incident, has been with the Dallas Police Department since June 2022 and is currently assigned to the Northeast Patrol Division.
Following his arrest, Officer Garza has been placed on administrative leave while the Department’s Internal Affairs Division conducts an administrative investigation into the matter.
