TARRANT COUNTY, Texas—A Tarrant County jury has convicted Elmarco Dewayne Richardson Jr., 24, of the continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14 and sentenced him to 50 years in state prison.
The jury delivered the verdict and sentence on October 9, 2024. Evidence presented at trial showed that Richardson had sexually assaulted a young family member for years, beginning when the victim was approximately 5 years old. The jury also heard evidence that Richardson sexually assaulted a second family member.
The investigation was conducted by the Fort Worth Police Department. Assistant Criminal District Attorneys Kassidy Durfee and Brittane Hamilton prosecuted the case, which resulted in the significant sentence.
