When it comes to attendance, it all adds up – that’s why Irving ISD encourages students to make each day count. Students did just that this school year, and their hard work paid off! Preliminary reports show an increase of a tenth of a percentage point in district attendance, jumping from 95.7 percent in 2015-2016 to 95.8 percent. With every point counting, increases like this help the district financially to provide quality education and vast opportunities for students. Early reporting also reveal 21 campuses increased their yearly attendance percentage and eight schools finished the year with 97 percent.
