North Lake College Named 2017 Military Friendly® School

North Lake College (NLC) has been designated as a Military Friendly® School for the eighth year in a row. The Military Friendly® Schools designation is awarded to colleges, universities, and trade schools in the country that are committed to embracing military students, and to dedicating resources to ensure their success in the classroom and after graduation. Designation is based on the institution’s survey responses, along with its ability to meet minimum thresholds for student retention, graduation, job placement, and more. Each year, schools taking the survey must meet higher standards than in previous years.

North Lake College earned its 2017 Military Friendly® status based on the criteria above and exceeding standards in areas including academic policies and compliance, admissions and orientation, and military student support and retention.

“Being designated a “Military Friendly" college is incredible. As a college dedicated to helping our veteran community, we are honored. To us it's more than an award. It is an affirmation of the entire college's commitment to educating and supporting veterans.” said NLC Veterans Affairs Coordinator, Horace Ragler Jr.

Awarded by Victory Media, the Military Friendly® Schools designation and list provides service members transparent, data-driven ratings about post-military education and career opportunities.
