On June 9, 2023, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Richardson Police responded to single vehicle crash at the intersection of S. Jupiter Rd. and E. Belt Line Rd.
Investigators determined the driver of the vehicle was southbound when the car left the roadway and hit a wooden power pole. The vehicle continued forward striking a tree and overturned before coming to rest in a parking lot. The driver, identified as 21-year-old Gabriel Boado from Garland, was the sole occupant. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation by the Richardson Police Department Special Crash Investigation Team.
