Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse Celebrates Grand Opening in North Irving

Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse, known for its traditional gaúcho method of roasting meats over an open fire, celebrated the grand opening of its fourth DFW location in North Irving on Thursday, October 26, 2023. The restaurant is located at 3080 Ranch Trail, Irving, TX 75063, on the north side of Highway 635 between Olympus Blvd and S. Belt Line Rd.

The name "Fogo de Chão" translates to "ground fire" in Portuguese, symbolizing their commitment to this age-old cooking technique.

Irving Weekly's Tatiana Fernandez attended the event and asked why they had selected Irving.   According to the General Manager, the new location in North Irving was strategically chosen for its prime position right off Highway 635, providing convenient access for patrons, especially those traveling to and from the nearby airport. The bustling 635 corridor offers exceptional visibility and foot traffic, making it an ideal spot for the restaurant.

In its commitment to the community and economy, Fogo de Chão has employed over 100 dedicated individuals, both full-time and part-time, to ensure a remarkable dining experience for their customers. As the business expands, they plan to hire an additional 100 people, contributing to local employment opportunities.

The appeal of Brazilian cuisine to Texans is evident through Fogo de Chão's rich history. Founded by brothers Arri and Jair Coser, the first Fogo de Chão restaurant opened its doors in Addison 26 years ago. The decision to introduce Brazilian cuisine to the Lone Star State was driven by the striking similarities between Texan and Brazilian cultures. Both share a deep appreciation for meat and the art of barbecuing, making Fogo de Chão a perfect fit for the Texas culinary scene.

The "egg salad with caviar was delicious and the mango habanero margarita is a must try", said Tatiana.

Texans' love for gathering with family and friends for weekend cookouts and enjoying mouthwatering food resonates with the Brazilian tradition of coming together to savor delicious meals. The Coser brothers recognized these cultural affinities and have since expanded their restaurant brand, now proudly operating their 30th location with plans for further growth in the future.

Lauren Campbell, Director of Member Relations at the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce, expressed her enthusiasm for the grand opening of Fogo de Chão in North Irving. She highlighted the Chamber's commitment to fostering an extensive network and forging strategic partnerships within the community.

"At the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce, we pride ourselves on our expansive network and strategic partnerships. And that's exactly what this fine dining establishment is all about," Campbell stated. She went on to extend heartfelt congratulations to the Fogo de Chão team, acknowledging their investment in the area as a testament to their belief in the community's potential.

"We're thrilled to have you as part of the family," Campbell continued. "So thank you for choosing Irving/Las Colinas, where every partnership has the potential to ignite new possibilities."
