Dallas College Eastfield's volleyball team achieved a historic victory on Saturday, securing their second national title with an impressive sweep against Century College. The No. 1-ranked Harvester Bees dominated the match with scores of 25-19, 25-11, and 25-22, capping an undefeated season at 35-0.

In a remarkable feat, Eastfield became the first team in NJCAA Division III volleyball history to go unbeaten and clinch a national championship. The Bees displayed exceptional teamwork and skill, claiming their victory with a combination of strategic plays and powerful performances.

During a pivotal moment in the third set with the score tied at 21, Tasmine Maxwell's consecutive successful plays, set up by Denee Cullum, secured a two-point lead for the Harvester Bees. Following a Century sideout, Eastfield capitalized on an attack error by the Wood Ducks and an ace by Ava Cole, ultimately claiming the national championship.

The championship match showcased the talent of Eastfield's freshman outside hitter, Azoria Davis, who earned the NJCAA Championship Most Valuable Player award with an outstanding performance of 15 kills, 16 digs, and a .389 attack percentage.

The Bees dominated the second set, hitting .364 with 16 kills and four errors, stifling Century's attempts with a dynamic display of volleyball. Eastfield's Brenly Walker contributed significantly with four aces, and Maxwell exhibited a .467 attack percentage with seven kills.

Eastfield's well-rounded team effort included contributions from Aleyna Gerlach, Carli Banks, McKenzie Anderson, Taryn Doiron, and Cullum, each showcasing their skills to secure the championship. The Bees' defensive prowess was highlighted by Cole's 12 digs and strong blocking performances by Banks and Anderson.

Century College fought valiantly, with Kiyomi Callahan and Jamie Ihfe leading the charge, but Eastfield's dominance prevailed. The Wood Ducks' efforts in the third set kept the match competitive, but Eastfield's resilience and strategic plays ultimately secured their place in history.

With this victory, Eastfield joined the ranks of a select few programs, becoming only the eighth to win multiple NJCAA Division III championships. The Harvester Bees' undefeated season and national title reaffirm their status as a powerhouse in collegiate volleyball.
