The Arlington Police Department has received notification from medical staff confirming the death of a 22-year-old man involved in a crash last week. The incident occurred on Thursday, November 30, 2023, around 1:29 p.m. in the 2800 block of W. Division Street.
The victim was a passenger in a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette traveling westbound on W. Division Street. Investigators determined that the driver lost control of the Corvette on wet roads, causing the car to slide into the eastbound lanes where it collided with a 2020 Toyota Tacoma.
Both the victim and the Corvette driver were transported to the hospital, with the driver sustaining non-life threatening injuries. The Tacoma driver did not suffer serious injuries. Officers are examining evidence to determine if road conditions played a significant role in the crash, and the investigation is ongoing.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased once the next of kin has been notified.
