Texas' Iconic Luxury Resort Transforms into The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas After Yearlong Renovation

The Ritz-Carlton, a renowned luxury brand, has officially welcomed its newest addition, The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas, to its portfolio of over 100 hotels and resorts worldwide. Situated on a sprawling 400-acre property in the rolling hills of a former family ranch, just minutes away from downtown Dallas, the establishment marks a significant milestone for the brand.

Formerly known as The Four Seasons Resort at Las Colinas for almost four decades, the property transitioned to The Las Colinas Resort, Dallas on December 15, 2022, following its acquisition in a joint venture between Trinity Investments and Partners Group. The ongoing $55 million transformation is set to continue throughout various sections of the resort until May 2024.

Greg Dickhens, Managing Partner at Trinity, expresses delight in spearheading the revival of this iconic property, emphasizing its unique appeal for luxury leisure and business travelers. The proximity to downtown Dallas adds to the resort's allure, positioning it as a distinctive destination among the country's top choices.

Led by renowned design firms Jeffrey Beers International and Leo A Daly, the current renovations include the introduction of Bar Juniper, a new lobby bar with a focus on clear spirits and feminine touches inspired by indigenous Texas vegetation. The 427 guest rooms are updated with elements reflecting the resort's history as the former Little Ranch on the Hills, and the meeting spaces and ballroom facilities are undergoing a refresh spanning 80,000 square feet.

Jamie Kerr, Vice President and Global Brand Leader at The Ritz-Carlton, expresses anticipation for the property's addition, highlighting its unique offering of savoring Texas' natural landscape while indulging in luxurious accommodations with city access.

Upcoming enhancements include the opening of Knife Italian, a restaurant concept by Michelin-starred chef John Tesar, Campo Coffee & Provisions, a European-inspired coffee program, the transformation of the salon and spa into The Ritz-Carlton Spa®, and a fully reimagined resort pool with luxury cabanas and a new poolside bar.

The Ritz-Carlton Club® is expected to open in February 2024, offering guests a highly personalized experience with daily culinary presentations showcasing the flavors of Texas and exclusive cultural experiences.

Carla Murray, President, U.S. Western Region, Full Service MxM Hotels at Marriott International, Inc., notes that having two Ritz-Carlton properties in the Dallas area caters to the diverse preferences of guests, whether seeking a luxury metropolitan environment in downtown Dallas or an elevated escape with distinct personality in the Las Colinas hills.
