In the late hours of January 27, 2024, at approximately 11:50 p.m., Dallas Police swiftly responded to a shooting incident reported in the 2900 block of S. Westmoreland Road in Oak Cliff.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered a man who had been shot, lying in the street. The suspect had already departed the scene.
Emergency services from Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) transported the injured man to a nearby hospital. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
As of now, the identity of the male victim remains undisclosed, pending notification of the next of kin.
This investigation is ongoing and will be documented under case number 014874-2024.
