Fatal Motorcycle Crash in South Arlington Claims Life of 20-Year-Old Rider

In the early hours of Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at approximately 1:37 a.m., the Arlington Police Department responded to a distressing scene on the 500 block of SE Green Oaks Boulevard in South Arlington between S. Collins St and Matlock Rd.

The incident involved a single-vehicle crash, and upon arrival, officers discovered a 20-year-old male motorcycle driver lying unresponsive on the ground. The young man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to initial investigations, it is believed that the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound along SE Green Oaks Blvd. When navigating a curve in the road, he collided with the curb, leading to a loss of control, and subsequently being thrown from the motorcycle. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

Speed is considered a contributing factor in the crash.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified
