In a series of events on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, Roanoke officers responded to a call regarding a suspicious person in the 600 block of Howe Road at approximately 11:50 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the individual, who, instead of cooperating, quickly returned to his vehicle and disregarded officers' attempts to halt the vehicle. What ensued was a six-minute pursuit that spanned across Trophy Club, concluding with officers successfully taking the suspect into custody.
The vehicle in question was identified as a Honda Accord with a temporary tag, matching the description of a vehicle that had previously eluded officers from Grapevine PD earlier in the day.
Adding to the complexity of the situation, the detained individual is also suspected of involvement in another incident: an attempt to enter an occupied vehicle in the 1200 block of North Highway 377.
The investigation is ongoing.
