The DeSoto Police Department is actively investigating the reported kidnapping of a 37-year-old woman, identified as Lacey Lyn Overby, a white female. As of 3:30 pm, her last known location was in the vicinity of the 1300 block of E. Parkerville Rd. in DeSoto.
Details surrounding the incident are limited at this time, given the ongoing nature of the investigation. What is known is that Lacey was at the Taco Casa in Lancaster, Texas, where she was seen purchasing a meal for an individual who appeared to be homeless. The homeless male is now considered a suspect in the case and is described as a bald Hispanic male between the ages of 25-35. He was last seen wearing a blue and white plaid shirt.
Lacey was last known to be in her vehicle, a 2015 Silver Chevy Malibu with a Texas license plate KDY7339. At the time of the incident, she was wearing black scrubs with her hair in a ponytail. The involvement of any weapons in the incident is currently unknown.
Authorities are urging anyone with information on this incident or details regarding the whereabouts of Lacey or her vehicle to contact 911 immediately.
