American Airlines has hit a home run in the world of sports partnerships by teaming up with the reigning World Champions, the Texas Rangers. The multiyear deal sees American becoming the Official and Exclusive Airline and Airline Rewards Program of the Texas Rangers, offering fans exciting opportunities both on and off the field.
Ron DeFeo, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at American, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, "This partnership is a home run for both American and baseball fans. Just as our airline connects people and places, we look forward to connecting fans with the excitement of baseball and unforgettable moments, especially for our AAdvantage members. It’s a celebration of teamwork, passion, and the thrill of the game."
Beyond game day, fans can expect exclusive perks and experiences, including chances to travel to games, throw out the first pitch, enjoy suite seats, and meet popular players. American's activation of the sponsorship will also include an American Airlines-branded field-level First Base Lounge at Globe Life Field, adding to the fan experience.
The collaboration extends beyond mere sports, as American Airlines and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation have previously partnered on community efforts for various organizations like Make-A-Wish and Stand Up to Cancer.
Jim Cochrane, Executive Vice President, Chief Revenue Officer of the Texas Rangers, expressed enthusiasm about the expanded partnership, noting, "With our new multiyear agreement, American will be known as the Rangers’ Official and Exclusive Airline and Airline Rewards Program, allowing our organizations to partner on more fan-oriented initiatives like an exclusive rewards program that will give AAdvantage members access to once-in-a-lifetime experiences and the American Lounge, which offers an unmatched viewing experience at Globe Life Field."
As Dallas-Fort Worth’s largest carrier and the largest airline in Texas, American Airlines connects customers to over 230 destinations from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), including all major cities where the Rangers play, further solidifying their partnership with the local community and sports fans.
