On March 1, 2024, at around 8:50 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting incident in the 3300 block of Southern Oaks Boulevard near Robert Oren Park in Cedar Crest. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 16-year-old male victim who had been shot. The teenager was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing and has been assigned case number 034761-2024.
The victim was identified as Trelynn Derrion Henderson.
