McKinney Police Department responded to a distress call regarding Robert Olson, who was reported as armed and suicidal near a creek in the 8700-block of Stacy Rd on March 26.
Olson allegedly discharged his firearm at officers upon their arrival, prompting them to return fire.
Olson has been hospitalized, with his current condition remaining undisclosed. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries aside from Olson.
The investigation is being led by the Texas Rangers, with no additional comments provided at this time.
