On Saturday, March 29, 2024, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office responded to a concerning call at 6029 Berry Ridge Drive in Joshua, TX. The call reported instances of underage drinking, smoking marijuana, and gunshots in the vicinity.

Upon arrival, deputies encountered Alejandro Vasquez, 39, the homeowner, at the gate leading to the backyard. Despite their presence and explanation of the situation, Vasquez initially refused to cooperate and demanded the deputies to leave his property.

Despite the homeowner's resistance, deputies entered the backyard and discovered a scene of chaos. Numerous juveniles were seen fleeing, attempting to evade law enforcement. Empty alcohol containers and shell casings were found strewn across the area.

Vasquez continued to obstruct the investigation, resulting in his arrest, along with his adult son, Elijah Vasquez. The authorities identified over 40 underage individuals participating in the illicit activities. Several juveniles were as young as 15 years old and admitted to drinking and smoking marijuana.

The cooperation of the Burleson Police Department, Joshua Police Department, and Godley Fire Department was crucial in handling the situation.

Later in the day, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office confirmed the arrest of Alejandro Vasquez and his son, Elijah Vasquez. They are charged with Purchasing/Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor, with additional charges anticipated as the investigation progresses and interviews are conducted.
