Dallas Police Seek Assistance in Identifying Attempted Sexual Assault Suspect

Dallas Police are reaching out to the public for help in identifying a man involved in an attempted sexual assault incident that occurred on March 31, 2024, in the 5900 block of Arapaho Road.

According to authorities, at around 2:00 a.m. on March 31, the victim was outside their apartment near a vehicle when an unknown black male approached her from behind. The assailant overpowered her and attempted to sexually assault her. Fortunately, the victim managed to break free from the suspect, who then fled the scene.

The unidentified suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5’6” tall, with a slender build and dark skin. He was reportedly wearing blue jeans and no shirt at the time of the incident.

Detectives are actively investigating the case and are seeking any information that may lead to the identification and apprehension of the suspect.

Dallas Police urge residents in the vicinity of the reported offense to remain vigilant and report any suspicious individuals matching the suspect's description. Additionally, they advise the public to practice safety measures such as being aware of surroundings, going out with others, informing trusted individuals of whereabouts, and staying in well-lit areas during nighttime.
