Dallas Police are currently investigating a homicide that occurred in the 2400 block of Kathleen Avenue in Cedar Crest. The incident took place on April 2, 2024, around 4:00 pm when officers responded to a shooting call at the location. Upon arrival, they discovered 44-year-old Carlos King with gunshot wounds. King was transported to a nearby hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue but succumbed to his injuries.
Following initial inquiries, authorities identified 27-year-old Alvaro Vasquez as the suspect in the case. Vasquez was subsequently apprehended and is now facing charges of Murder. It has been revealed that King and Vasquez were acquainted prior to the incident.
