Teacher Arrested for Possession of Adderall at Southlake Carroll High School

Kristopher Connett

On Friday, March 22, 2024, a Southlake Police School Resource Officer at Carroll Senior High School was alerted by campus administration about pill bottles found in a teacher's backpack during a routine third-party K-9 sweep.

The K-9 indicated towards a desk and a backpack belonging to the teacher, prompting a search by campus administration. Several pill bottles were discovered in the backpack and handed over to the School Resource Officer for investigation. The officer, based on training and experience, suspected the pills to be Adderall.

To confirm the identification, the officer consulted a licensed pharmacist who verified the pills as Adderall. The prescriptions listed on the bottles did not match the teacher's identity.

Subsequently, 29-year-old Kristopher Connett, the teacher in question, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and taken to Keller Jail without incident.

Initial examination of the pill bottles and pills indicated they contained Adderall, with no suspicion of fentanyl. However, for prosecutorial purposes, the pills will undergo laboratory testing for confirmation of their identification and composition.

The investigation into the matter is ongoing.
