Dallas police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying both the vehicle and suspects involved in a 2023 South Dallas homicide investigation.
According to preliminary findings, on August 25, 2023, at approximately 5:00 am, a dark sedan, as captured in surveillance footage, was seen driving down the 2700 block of Swanson Street. The vehicle, containing two unidentified suspects, circled the block before stopping behind another parked vehicle occupied by two men.
The suspects exited their vehicle and began firing at the parked vehicle, resulting in injuries to both occupants. One of the victims, identified as 65-year-old Billy Oudems, succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the other victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
Following the shooting, the suspects fled the scene in an unknown direction.
The suspect vehicle is described as a dark 4-door sedan with a distinctive and loud exhaust sound.
