A shooting incident reported on April 6, 2024, has resulted in the death of 39-year-old Markeith Armstead, according to authorities.
Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at approximately 11:00 a.m. in the 2200 block of Lagow Street in South Dallas near the Fair Park, where they discovered Armstead inside a business suffering from gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Armstead succumbed to his injuries and passed away on April 7, 2024.
There is currently no suspect.
The investigation into this incident remains ongoing and has been referred to the Dallas County Grand Jury for further review. The case is being documented under number 054868-2024.
