A victim was attacked on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, around 7:00 p.m. in the 600 block of Coit Road in Plano.
The suspect assaulted the victim using a hammer and then fled the scene with the weapon. This incident is part of a series of similar unprovoked attacks in the DFW area over the past 24 hours. The motive behind these attacks remains unknown.
Surveillance footage shows the suspect wearing similar clothing during the offenses and it is believed he is using DART transportation in the area.
Plano and DART Police Departments urge the public to be cautious and report any sightings of the suspect by calling 9-1-1 referencing Plano Police incident #24-77047.
