Suspicious Package Incident Prompts Search for Suspects in Parker County

Wanted suspect and vehicle

Authorities in Parker County, Texas, are seeking the public's help in identifying two individuals connected to a suspicious package incident at the Parker County District Courts Building. The package was discovered early Tuesday morning, prompting law enforcement to launch an investigation.

Sheriff Russ Authier stated that video surveillance captured two individuals around 4:45 a.m. driving a white SUV without a license plate in the vicinity of the District Courts Building at 117 Fort Worth Highway. The male suspect, who left the suspicious package on the building's steps, was described as tall and wearing a white T-shirt, dark running shorts, a dark ski mask, mismatched socks, running shoes, and an armband or patch on his right forearm.

The suspicious package was a black hard-sided plastic case resembling a "pelican" type case, padlocked, with two white painted X's on one side. An antenna-like object protruded from one side of the case.

Authorities emphasized that the video released displayed an incorrect time, approximately an hour earlier than the actual event.

The incident led to the closure and evacuation of nearby businesses, with law enforcement dedicating significant resources to the investigation. Sheriff Authier expressed gratitude to various agencies for their assistance during the response and ongoing investigation, including the Texas Department of Public Safety, ATF, FBI, Fort Worth Bomb Squad, local fire departments, and the Weatherford Police Department.

Individuals with information about the suspects or their whereabouts are encouraged to contact the Parker County Sheriff's Office at (817) 594-8845 or remain anonymous by contacting Parker County Crime Stoppers at (817) 599-5555 or 1-800-942-STOP.
