Two Men Arrested for Terroristic Threat After Suspicious Case Found at Weatherford Courthouse

The Parker County Sheriff's Office and the Texas Rangers identified and charged two men in connection with an incident at the District Court's Building in downtown Weatherford.  On Tuesday morning, a county employee located a case on the front steps of the building.  The case was a hard-sided black plastic case that was padlocked with caution tape.

A massive response from local, state, and federal law enforcement, local fire departments, and EMS concluded hours later after it was determined by bomb squad technicians that the case contained no harmful components or explosives.

Sheriff Russ Authier stated, "Sheriff's Office Investigators and the Texas Rangers have worked diligently on this investigation and thanks to several tips received by our local citizens, they were able to identify and arrest two individuals with this investigation."

Sheriff Russ Authier credited local citizens' tips for aiding in the identification and arrest of 24-year-old Kristopher Daniel Cloud and 27-year-old Parker Bryan Whitworth, both from Lipan, Texas.

The men face charges including Terroristic Threat and Terrorism. They are currently held in Parker County Jail on bonds set at $150,000.00 and $250,000.00 respectively.
