Woman Fatally Shot as Gunmen Open Fire on Car in Dallas

In the early hours of April 13, 2024, Dallas Police swiftly responded to a shooting incident reported in the 4400 block of S. Marsalis Avenue in the Cedar Crest area. Upon arrival at approximately 12:30 a.m., officers discovered 30-year-old Shaketta Johnson wounded in a parking lot.

Despite the prompt response from Dallas Fire Rescue, Johnson succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Johnson was inside her vehicle when two unidentified suspects unleashed a barrage of gunfire into the car. Following the attack, the suspects fled the scene in separate vehicles. One suspect drove a blue Mazda sedan, while the other escaped in a black Mercedes, both heading southbound on S. Marsalis Avenue.

UPDATE: Further investigation has identified the two pictured suspects as Denute Bell, 24, and Keylan Bowens, 18. Arrest warrants for Murder have been issued for both. Anyone with information on the suspects or their whereabouts, please call 911.
