Everman Police responded to reports of a loose and aggressive dog at the Paradise Apartments on Coury Rd around 5:30pm on April 13, 2024. Multiple callers alerted authorities to the situation, stating that the same aggresive dog had attacked another dog.
Upon arrival, officers attempted to locate the animal. While walking on the property, the aggressive dog emerged and initiated an attack on one of the officers. In response, the officer discharged their duty weapon one time and neutralized the threat. The Office is said to be ok.
The incident remains under investigation, with authorities conducting both standard procedures and an administrative inquiry following the discharge of the weapon.
