Two Men Shot Outside Gentlemen’s Club in Arlington: One Dead, One Injured

Police Officers responded to reports of shots fired at a gentlemen’s club on Majesty Drive early Sunday morning (near Six Flags). Upon arrival, they found two men, aged 30 and 40, with gunshot wounds in the parking lot. The 30-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, while the older man was taken to the hospital, where he is expected to recover.

The suspected shooter, who remained at the scene, was detained by officers. Investigators believe the altercation stemmed from previous conflicts between the 40-year-old and the suspected shooter.  he 30-year-old, identified as Abel Alberto Rodriguez of Addison, intervened in the argument and shots were fired shortly after.

A firearm was recovered near the 40-year-old.

Detectives have not ruled out the possibility that the shooting was done in self-defense.

Following consultation with the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, the decision was made not to file criminal charges against the suspected shooter at this time. He was released and was not arrested.
