On April 23, 2024, just before 8:00 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 300 block of South Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers discovered two women, identified as 17-year-old Drenesia Willis and 40-year-old LaNeshaia Pinkard shot inside an apartment. Both victims were rushed to a local hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.
Following preliminary investigation, authorities identified a suspect as Doris Walker, 65, who was known to the victims. Walker was arrested and charged with Capital Murder. She has been detained at the Dallas County Jail pending further legal proceedings. Walker's bond has been set at $500,000.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
