An organized group of thieves focused on burglarizing bank Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in Plano was arrested early on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Plano PD Burglary detectives developed leads after suspects targeted ATMs while using stolen trucks in their attempts to hide their identities from our vigilant detectives.
On April 24, 2024, a bank in the 400 block of Coit Road was targeted. They arrived at the scene in a stolen truck. Quick action by our Burglary detectives and patrol officers disrupted the criminal activity, leading the suspects to flee.
Subsequently, the suspects were apprehended and charged with felony theft related to ATM theft.
The three arrested were identified as Marcel Anthony Bechet, 27, Gabriel Diaz-Columna, 26, and Cornelius D. Washington, 32.
The stolen truck was recovered and turned over to the reporting agency.
