On May 2, 2024, Dallas Police swiftly responded to a shooting incident in the 2000 block of Lewiston Avenue, Pleasant Grove, at approximately 6:30 PM. The preliminary investigation revealed that 43-year-old LaDerrick Majors was discovered shot at the scene. Despite the prompt arrival of Dallas Fire-Rescue, Majors succumbed to his injuries on-site.
