The Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office announced today that Jesse Lee Garza, 29, pleaded guilty to Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Sexual Assault and was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
Garza used his 4-year-old son to lure the child's mother to meet up with him. He then assaulted her with a gun and forced her to go with him to a Benbrook hotel where he sexually assaulted her.
The victim's family became concerned and notified police. Benbrook Police Officers were able to get Garza to release the child and following a 5-hour standoff, breached the room to rescue the victim.
The prosecution was lead by Assistant District Attorney Darren De La Cruz and Amy Allin.
The Benbrook Police Department investigated the case.
