Due to a disaster declaration and power outages caused by ongoing severe weather conditions, all classes, after-school activities, and UIL events for Irving ISD have been canceled for today, Wednesday, May 29. Both the Irving ISD Administration Building and all district schools will remain closed.
Fortunately, because of additional daily instructional minutes already built into the academic calendar, students and staff will not need to make up these missed days.
The district will continue to monitor the weather conditions and the restoration of power at all facilities. Updates will be communicated through School Messenger phone calls and emails, the official Irving ISD social media platforms, and at IrvingISD.net/WeatherUpdates.
