Nimitz Girls Track Achieves Strong Season

The Nimitz High School Girls Track Team, under the leadership of Coach Cameron Swisher, had an outstanding 2025 season marked by dedication and impressive achievements.

The team saw significant success, with eight athletes advancing to the highly competitive University Interscholastic League (UIL) Area Finals. Additionally, the JV squad demonstrated their strength by securing first place at the Irving ISD Airlane Relays, held in March at Joy & Ralph Ellis Stadium. Throughout the season, athletes posted numerous personal records, highlighting their hard work and determination.

Key contributors to the team's success included standout performers Sofia Martinez, Princess Guzman, MacKenzie Randle, and Faith Logan. Looking to the future, the program boasts promising talent in rising stars such as Sofia Martinez (Soph.), MacKenzie Randle (Jr.), Faith Logan (Jr.), Emma Sanchez (Jr.), Jamiya Henderson (Soph.), and Ryhanna Melton (Jr.).
