Woman Sentenced to 20 Years for Drug Trafficking in Tarrant County
April Guy

FORT WORTH, TX – A Tarrant County jury has sentenced April Guy, 29, to 20 years in prison after finding her guilty of Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance. The verdict was delivered following a case prosecuted by Michael Cassidy and Jeanne Truglio.

The case originated on August 22, 2024, when a Fort Worth Police officer pulled Guy over for a felony warrant out of Collin County. A search of her vehicle, which reportedly smelled of marijuana, uncovered a lunchbox containing bags of crack cocaine, digital scales, and a handgun.

Based on the evidence found in her car, investigators concluded that Guy was a drug dealer. The prosecution also noted Guy's extensive criminal history and the fact that she had previously absconded from a trial date.

The DA investigator on the case was Briant Thomas.
