Travis 8th Grade Football Team Goes Undefeated

The Travis Middle School eighth grade football team went undefeated at the Wayside Air It Out tournament at Boswell High School.

The team competed against 12 other area middle school teams including teams from Watauga, Springtown, Azle, and others. They played in a total of eight games and ended up beating Lake Worth 48 to 13 in the championship game.

"Our Travis boys are very excited about this year's tournament season because they have added athletes from Sam Houston and Lady Bird Johnson that will playing with them next year at Macarthur.  All of the players are getting along great and have obviously come together as a team as evident by their dominant performance in this tournament", quote taken from Travis' website.

The team was coached by Brent Nickerson, former MacArthur graduate and Texas Tech cornerback.
