A 23-year-old Fort Worth man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison after admitting to fatally shooting his mother’s boyfriend in 2024.
Isaiah Ramon Henderson pled guilty to murder on December 5, 2025. Prosecutors said that on the morning of June 22, 2024, Henderson entered his mother’s bedroom at their home on Meadow Ridge Boulevard in far southwest Fort Worth, where she and her boyfriend, 40-year-old Patrick Allen Blow, were asleep. Henderson shot Blow in the head.
His mother immediately called 911 and told dispatchers her son had shot her boyfriend. In court, Henderson referred to Blow as his “dad,” saying the man had been a father figure to him for the past 13 years.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Melinda Hogan and DJ Estes. Brian Johnson served as the lead investigator for the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, and the Fort Worth Police Department handled the homicide investigation.
