Atlético Dallas Moves HQ to Expo Park, Bringing New Soccer Hub and 85 Jobs to Fair Park
DALLAS, TX - Professional soccer is taking a major step into the heart of Dallas. The City of Dallas and Atlético Dallas have announced a strategic relocation of the club’s corporate headquarters from Richardson to the historic Expo Park neighborhood, directly adjacent to Fair Park.
The move is supported by a $200,000 economic development grant from the City, designed to spark investment and job creation in the area as the club prepares for its highly anticipated USL Championship debut in 2027.
A New Home for Fans: "The Den at Expo Park"
This relocation is more than just office space; it is a full-scale community activation. Atlético Dallas will lease 12,000 square feet at 820 Exposition Avenue for its executive offices and a 1,500-square-foot street-facing retail shop.
Directly across the street, the club plans to open The Den at Expo Park, a massive entertainment complex featuring:
-
Supporters Bar & Restaurant: A 6,000-square-foot indoor space.
-
Beer Garden: A 10,000-square-foot patio.
-
Street Soccer Court: The club’s first public-access court, opening in collaboration with Kyle Martino and Street FC.
Timeline: The street soccer court is slated to open in June 2026, just in time for the FIFA World Cup, with the supporters bar following later this summer.
Economic Impact and Local Hiring
The relocation is a significant win for the Dallas workforce. While the club will retain its 12 current employees, it has committed to creating up to 85 new jobs over the next five years. These roles span executive, professional, coaching, and player positions.
To ensure local benefit, the club has partnered with Dallas College on a workforce development initiative and committed to a minimum wage of $23.06 per hour, with at least 20% of new hires coming directly from the City of Dallas.
"Roots in a Historic Neighborhood"
“This move is about much more than an office,” said Matt Valentine, Founder and Chairman of Atlético Dallas. “We’re building a place that welcomes fans year-round and reflects our commitment to growing the game and giving back to the city that’s embracing us.”
The headquarters sits just steps from the Cotton Bowl, the club's home pitch. The stadium recently underwent a $140 million renovation, modernizing the venue for the next generation of professional soccer fans in North Texas.
