FORT WORTH, Texas - A Tarrant County jury has found 48-year-old Hasani Gray of Arlington guilty of Aggravated Assault and sentenced him to 42 years in prison.
The conviction stems from a violent attack on March 27, 2025, inside a home in Kennedale, TX. Prosecutors said Gray believed a 41-year-old man had his spare car key. The confrontation quickly escalated.
Gray grabbed a glass blender and struck the man in the head, then repeatedly hit him while he was on the ground. The victim suffered a traumatic brain injury and required an emergency craniotomy to relieve pressure on his brain.
The case was investigated by the Kennedale Police Department. Assistant District Attorneys Marvin Morris and Alex Rhee prosecuted the case.
The 42-year sentence reflects the severity of the attack and the life-altering injuries suffered by the victim.
