IISD Athletes of the Month: Erika Hamilton and Jeff Stovall
Erika Hamilton, junior at Nimitz High School, and Jeff Stovall, sophomore at Irving High School, have been named female and male IISD Athletes of the Month for May.
Hamilton plays right fielder for the Nimitz softball team and is batting .495 for the season. She has also recorded 18 runs-batted-in (RBIs) and 25 stolen bases.
Jeff Stovall leads the Irving High baseball team with a .472 batting average. He also leads the district with 22 RBIs and is one of the top pitchers on the squad for the season.
