Boys basketball update; Irving vs MacArthur
Irving is coming off a loss to Duncanville this past week, losing 59 - 41. Duncanville is the area's top ranked team and dominated Irving for three quarters in a game expected to be competitive. In their first meting Duncanville pulled a narrow, 46 - 45, victory back on January 20th.
Irving is lead by Senior James Thomas, who is averaging 16.8 points and 11.6 rebounds per game. Desmond Henry is averaging 12.2 points per game and Nick Haynes is going for 11.4 points.
MacArthur defeated South Grand Prairie, 60 - 54, on Tuesday night and is lead by Rickey Scott, 18.2 points/game, and Jamar Halton, 16.7 points/game.
The game should be competitive as rivalry games usually are. As a fan, it's nice to see two Irving teams heading to the playoffs.
