Irving downed MacArthur in last district game; Both make playoffs
In boys basketball, the Irving Tigers downed MacArthur 60 - 56.
The game was close. Mac lead 46 - 43 going into the fourth quarter, but the Tigers rallied and outscored their rivals 17 - 10 in that last quarter.
Mac's Rickey Scott lead all scorers with 18. The Tigers rellied on a team effort lead by James Thomas' 15 points and Desmond Henry's 10.
Both teams move-on to the playoffs. In bi-district action, MacArthur (20-11) will play a tough Plano West (27-2). Irving (22-8) will play Jesuit (25-7).
